.Net Support & Developer Engineer - Reading

The Role

The job entails having a good understanding of e-commerce web and database technologies. To support and deliver timely efficient and effective business systems. To be able to write functional code with a sharp eye for spotting defect, troubleshooting and debugging issues getting to the root causes.

The Applicant

Responsibilities:

 Serve as an expert on the Vero web based business applications and provide technical support
 Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
 Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devize solutions to mitigate and address these issues
 Supporting internal and external customers.
 Report on status of projects with accurate information ensuring potential problem areas are identified at an early stage along with any possible
solutions that can be utilised to resolve them.
 Ensure all activities carried out support the team members and objectives, sharing knowledge and experience to develop team members.

The Requirements

Be able to communicate and assist our 30,000 global users both internal and external users in their usage of the business systems.

Teamserver, Visual Studio, c#.net, ASP.net, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX and Telrik controls with strong Microsoft SQL experience including Stored Procedures. The Team develops using agile methodology with 3-week sprints, using the online JIRA system.

Ideally the candidate should have more than 3 years’ experience in supporting and developing web based applications. Previous experience with Microsoft Azure, Integrating CRM systems and financial systems would be of benefit.

Language skills are always an advantage, especially Germany, French or Japanese but not essential.
