Edgecam Lunch & Learn Event Proves Educational for AttendeesThe first in a series of Edgecam Lunch and Learn events was held by Edgecam Reseller, Silverhawk Solutions, on February 11th, 2014 at the Haas Factory Outlet in Tampa, FL. The event provided attendees with the opportunity to experience the new functionality in Rapid Programming Technology for milling and turning, using the 2014 R1 release of Edgecam Workflow. Live test drives of Edgecam’s Workflow allowed attendees to see firsthand how Workflow’s intuitive interface, model intelligence, and knowledge based machining enables users to rapidly complete the essential steps of CNC machine programming for prismatic parts. Workflow reduces costs, reduces training time, produces consistent reliable G code, improves quality and achieves shorter lead times.
In addition to Edgecam, attendees of the event had the chance to see Haas Automation machine tools and Iscar tooling in action. Attendees witnessed real life machining of customer production parts using Edgecam high speed Waveform technology. Visitors also had the opportunity to discuss specific manufacturing requirements with Application Engineers and network with their industry peers, which made for a truly productive day.
According to Domenic Lanzillotta, Edgecam Channel Manager – Americas, “The Haas Factory Outlet in Tampa was a great venue to showcase Edgecam Workflow. Having attendees see Edgecam Workflow machining customer production parts and having the ability to test drive Worflow for themselves, was really inspiring. The positive response we received from the experience was beyond expectations. I am further convinced that Edgecam has developed a revolutionary product for the next generation of CAM systems. Old competitive legacy users were amazed at the technology advancement they witnessed and tested for themselves.”
