Alphacam - Product Manager - Reading

The main focus is driving the complete Alphacam product portfolio forward, to ensure that we are not only meeting but exceeding the requirements of our customers, that we are harnessing the latest technology, staying one step ahead of the competitors
Analyse sales to understand what products Alphacam are selling. Help sales teams (direct and indirect) to identify the Unique Selling Points (USPs) of Alphacam compared to the competition.
Drive the products forward, look at new market opportunities, technology that is available to be created or sourced. Manage the product Roadmap and create specifications for the next developments.
Responsible for defining what the development team delivers and also responsible for receiving the product out of development and then packaging for delivery. This will involve producing the relevant documentation, examples, justifications and user information ready for when the products are released. Also, ensuring adequate quality control measures are in place within development. Identifying group component technologies that can benefit the Alphacam product.
Ensure effective and appropriate communication throughout the organization.
Promote best practice in all aspects of the business and address conflict and issues where these arize within the business positively.
Ensure that management controls, procedures and processes are structured to safeguard business assets.
Actively work with other Alphacam managers to ensure consistent and efficient operation of product management operation.
A background in computer aided manufacturing in the wood, metal and or stone working industries is essential.
You must have a working knowledge of Alphacam or similar CAM Software.
A minimum of 5 years experience in a Product Support or Product Management role
HNC/Degree level qualification in Engineering or Manufacturing discipline.
Knowledge of CADCAM in a production environment.
